INSTRUCTIONS FOR IRON-ON TRANSFERS
1) Spread the material out flat.
2) If necessary, iron the material (but not velvet - see below).
3) Position the transfer on the material with the ink-side down. Pin the transfer to prevent it from moving.
4) Iron over the transfer slowly, with a hot, dry iron.
5) Turn a corner of the transfer back to check the design has transferred to the material.
6) If it hasn't, press problem areas with the iron briefly until it transfers.
Important note for velvet. After the transfer has been removed, you may notice that the material has been slightly marked, because the iron has flattened the velvet pile. The remedy is to briefly hold the material above a steaming kettle or similar. This will not adversely affect either the material or the transferred design.
